Gday Becky. just catching up after my week away. such a lovely bench just needs a little T.L.C.and Im sure will look right at home in your garden also love your colourfull garden journal. Take care.
Oh Becky, lucky girl! Congratulations to your new bench! By the way, it is your garden where the photo was taken? Uuuuhhh it's huge, isn't it? I already had that impression on former pics you showed us here.
The journal pages are so cute!! Love them. Your garden has really flourished from all the preparation you've done. Have you read about lasagna gardening? Layering of organic materials and I've read about using paper/cardboard too.
Hi Becky ~ Nice to meet you and thanks for your comments and also your sympathy. You sure were lucky to get your neighbor's cast-off and I am sure it will look great in your garden. Take care, Cheers, Merle.
You’re as bad or good as me! They told me to burn this old seat from the big house last winter so I brought it home and did it up, now I’m worried that if they see it they will want it back because it’s now a good seat. I see you have a nice Eucalyptus there behind you, how old it is? What is the green bush right at the back, looks like it has yellow flowers?

UKBob . . . the Eucalyptus was planted just this summer. I love the shape of the leaves. The yellow behind me are Calendula flowers. They grow like hot-cakes.
Anita, You asked about my garden and ugh yes, you are right it is huge. I have about 1 acre of cleared land and just let most of it go to wild flowers. My serenity garden is just a smaller area that i keep "weed free."
Becky, I revel in finding things that I can "remix" into my garden. My favorite things are those I find, free of charge! Gnomes are notoriously frugal! "-)

I had my husband stop at persons house this summer they had old benches out in front to be thrown away so I could get them to put in my garden.

That is NOT junk!! Wow! Lucky you.
And I think the journal looks much better after you added to it. I'm one of those who goes by the adage More is Better!
